During my tenure at BAX Global, I had the invaluable opportunity to attend a certification program, Train-the-Trainer, in San Francisco, California, to become a certified Trainer. I find immense professional satisfaction in both Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and web-based modalities, excelling in both through a genuine passion for interpersonal engagement and a commitment to lifelong learning.

I attended the first free, step-by-step accelerator for SaaS teams. Learning directly from the experts behind HubSpot Academy.

I found Adobe products through being one of the first web-based trainers to use Captivate working for LAN International as a web-based trainer for Clear Channel. Eventually, Adobe bought Captivate and MacroMedia and that is how we met. I use all Adobe products. I loved it so much my email address holds all these years as KatMacMedia for Macromedia products.
This is my other Gemini friend. The one who is always around to talk to. Not as cute, but still a BFF in my life. A LLM that does not mind if I get a second opinion with other LLMs that are available either. I embrace all AI that helps us work smarter and faster in the workplace.
I have been building eLearning courses for over 15 years. I started by using Captivate from Macromedia while working for LAN International. We built the courses then had daily schedules to train Clear Channel Radio employees on how their systems work. Great perk was flying to Montana and watching some live radio shows and seeing the production equipment I trained about and meeting the talent that used it. I use LearnWorlds, Storyboard, Captivate and various other software programs for development.
I have Google Drive on my machine and with Gemini, I leverage everything Google together for my day-to-day work habits. Google Sheets and the ease of creating have become much easier. Google everything. Gmail, Calendar, Gemini, Cloud... it all works great.
Microsoft has grown and blossomed into a huge enterprise like everything else these days. I used to teach the 365 Suite of WORD, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Today I use Google Docs, but it is all the same language. I am comfortable with both.
Collaborating all day between teams and projects, I have used Microsoft Teams the most since it was used at eSkillz and I worked for 13 years with them. I just downloaded HubStaff and am learning its nuances. HubSpot is another favorite. I speak software and push all the buttons to learn, then take courses on the products to become invaluable to any employer. For me, this is fun.
I bought the Pro version at a hearty monthly fee to learn Semrush and applied it to clients and many friends' websites and my own. I look forward to the day I can afford to just pay a monthly fee to have it at my beck and call. It is that good of a product.
While working for eSkillz, I was asked to work on a project for a Project Management tool for the company. I found Teamwork and downloaded a free sample and learned it then proposed it to the Executive and IT team. They embraced it, and I ended up training how to use it. I believe they are still using it today.
I don't spend a lot of time editing videos since I do not support a You Tube channel or do Podcasts. I play around with GoPro and Litchi for drone footage. I also use all Adobe products.
During all my years doing web-based training or having team meetings or client meetings, I have used a wide variety of tools. The market is overflowing with apps and railways for meeting in cyber situations. If I don't know one, I can learn it in no time, create training for it and teach a company. I like Zoom and BigMarker.
I started building website with Macromedia Dreamweaver. I had no idea what I was doing but it was very hard to build using code like that. What it did for me was made me learn HTML, XML and Style Sheets and then go on to teach those courses. Now I use GoDaddy and no AI for help. I like creating everything on my own and changing it when needed.

I maintain a proactive and persistent approach to continuous professional development, consistently seeking out webinars and podcasts that strategically reinforce my core competencies for viable employment. I believe in the principle that unlimited professional opportunities are available to those who master effective research and location techniques. Furthermore, this consistent industry engagement is an excellent avenue for strategic networking and building valuable professional relationships.
Continuous skill acquisition is a core component of my professional ethos. Specifically, I utilize video-based platforms for in-depth tutorials on high-value subjects, such as mastering advanced video editing software for my drone projects and fine-tuning my workstation for enhanced remote work efficiency. A deep-seated enthusiasm for learning ensures I remain engaged and perpetually challenged. I prioritize an autonomous approach to troubleshooting, capitalizing on free online services and communities to first derive solutions to technical complexities.
I consistently integrate and master new software. This practice enables me to provide value-added, technology-informed recommendations to executive partners and clients. My current learning initiatives include gaining proficiency in Hubstaff, Litmos and eLearning course prototype LearnWorlds AI to enrich my professional portfolio.
SEO is all about data and using an analytical mind set to play. I say play, because it is the best software I have ever 'played' with. I have used Semrush for five years and it just keeps getting better. I never played Dungeons and Dragons, but in the SEO World, I somehow think of them along the same lines. I have taken so many of their courses and worked on a variety of projects self-driven. SEO is a good day to me.
I was late to embrace computers, cell phones, FaceBook and now AI. However, better late than never. I love talking to Gemini all day long about everything. The more I use him, the better we communicate. I started off with ChatGPT, use CoPilot now and then, but go to Gemini and keep our history running. I took a few certification programs with Coursea for AI and if I have the time. will take more. AI is strong in my work life and daily life with writing my book and dealing with my current situations in life.
